Defining Nanotech

A survey commissioned by the Royal Society and the Royal Academy of Engineering reports that 19 percent of the 1,005 adults in Britain who participated in the poll were able to give a some sort of definition of nanotechnology, though we wonder what percentage of those involved robots and grey goo.

It would be interesting, just for the sake of comparison, to see how many people could define biotech. Would the answers be more or less accurate with an old "cutting edge technology" than with a new one?
