When is 'nano' not nanotechnology? #2

When itís a nanoliter - or about this much.

Our memories of the confusion between nanofluidics and nanotechnology were jogged by a recent announcement from Thales Nanotechnology. The mention of converting chemical processes from 'standard' to 'microscale' had our in house chemists gnashing their teeth and muttering about something called molecules being 'standard,' and although we understand the point about scales, nanoscale it isn't.
