The Dendrimers are Coming!
One of our favourite molecules, and one that we have tipped as being potentially more crucial to the development of nanotech than carbon nanotubes gets a significant boost with the news of the world's first nanotechnology-based protection against HIV. Already being investigated as a barrier to biological agents, Australia's Starpharma is reaching the end of early phase human trials of the use of dendrimers to mop up HIV.
