With incoming news from Madrid, the first nanoSpain workshop came to an early close. At times like this, nanotechnology is the last thing on our minds.
I'd like to thank everyone who has sent messages of sympathy, support and concern, and extend our condolences to the families of all of the victims.
"We must unveil the invisible materials we cannot see with our naked eyes so as to learn the great secrets of our lives. We can learn how to learn while keeping intact our traditions and cultures without killing each other"

I wish to extend my best wishes to you, your family, and your colleagues who have been impacted by this terrible attack in Spain. Just watching the horrific images on TV cannot provide the realism of this catastrophe that you must be experiencing. May your strength be an inspiration to others to get through this sad time of mourning.
Best regards,
Neil
